At PENLER, Doug manages owner representation for construction and renovation activities across all projects, including due diligence, preconstruction work with architects, engineers, and consultants, and final delivery and acceptance on behalf of PENLER.

Doug has over 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries.  Prior to joining PENLER, Doug spent the last 5 years in both GC and Owner Representative roles in the hospitality and multifamily sectors.  Prior to these roles, Doug spent over 11 years with Balfour Beatty Communities in its military housing division serving as Project Director, Project Executive, and finally as the Director of the Army Portfolio responsible for renovations, demolition, development, and new construction of approximately 19,000 homes on 16 Army installations across the United States. The value of the completed work during this tenure was approximately $1.2 billion.  Doug also spent 9 years in the Atlanta market with David Weekley Homes as a project manager responsible for an annual business unit revenue of $40 million.

Doug received his BBA in Management from Oklahoma Baptist University and resides in Atlanta with his wife, Courtney, their two adult children, and a grandson.
